Mohenjodaro's Achievements
Ancient India had many contributions that left a lasting legacy. They invented the weights and scales. Weights and scales weighed grain and they sold the grain for money. Another contribution was the swimming pool. In Mohenjodaro’s citadel, there was a great bath, also known as a swimming pool. The Great Bath was also used for religious rituals and festivals. The people of Mohenjodaro created statues, too. They made statues of people with power, and they look almost exact like the real person. Seals were carved into pictographs, but nobody knows why.
Gupta Empire Achievements
Also, the Gupta Empire had some achievements, too. They created universities which provided the upper class with religious teachings. The schools were primarily open to only males, though. The Gupta empire made many kinds of literary works, too. Scholars and lawyers wrote about Hindu law and religion. Authors and poets wrote poems and narrative stories. This empire was very famous for their paintings and sculptures. Their sculptures were very detailed. In mathematics, they created the decimal point. Also, they were the first to treat zero as a number. Finally, they had roads which encouraged trade. They created a huge system of well-built roads.
